XLVII.

When dealing with anxiety on a daily basis and being forced to go out everyday to interact with people and/or all of that “becoming a responsible person” stuff, it’s much appreciated to have a way-out. I like college life, living on my own is great, for unknown reasons I even managed to have awesome & caring friends; yet sometimes spending some time alone off of all this is just necessary. When staying home with grilled cheese and a Pixar movie works well, there are two more options tested & approved I turn to; movie theater & live music.

When reality sucks, turn to art form, not matter which one, no matter if you create something yourself or just enjoy someone else’s. Theaters and concert halls share the prized qualities of taking you out in the world to get some fresh air in that brain of yours, and providing you a good time by sharing stories in a complete & satisfying form. If everyday life doesn’t make sense, a song you like & a well-written movie will always do. You don’t need to be with someone, no-one cares, it’s dark and you’re not supposed to talk anyway, you came as a member of the audience. No decision to make, it’s all about letting worries aside and be off for a little while.

This is Shai Maestro Trio, jazz music is a blessing for mind wandering, and you should totally check them out. It was my second time with them and I might be in love just a little. I don’t do concert photography anymore, turned out I prefer to be completely into listening & enjoying the show, and I’m not good at it anyway. Exception made, confirming previous statement. Don’t have anything better than that to share for november though.
